Fees and Insurance Information

We are often asked if we take insurance for the services provided at The Brain Clinic. Dr. Thomas is not currently on any insurance panels ("Out of Network"), but his staff will work with you to try to get insurance to help pay or reimburse you for the services via your "Out of Network" benefits, if they apply.

Before your appointment, please consult your benefits manager or call the telephone number on the back of your insurance card to check your benefits. The following questions may help speed up the process:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • Do I have "Out of Network" benefits?
  • Do I have an "Out of Network" deductible? What is it, and has it been met?
  • Is there a dollar limit to what my plan will cover?

Dr. Thomas' rate ranges from $150-$300 per hour for varying services. For a detailed list of fees for assessments, click here.

Biofeedback has some special aspects regarding payment: The cost of a biofeedback session is $200 per session. In the initial meeting, we will discuss the insurance reimbursement in detail.

You should know that even if insurance were to cover most of the cost, there may still be a co-payment of several hundred dollars for an evaluation; about 50-80% of treatment fees are typically reimbursed.
